Character AI spent late 2025 rewriting its age rules: open-ended chat removed for under-18s, age checks for every account, and a product that is turning toward series, comics and stories. What did not change is the rule adults run into most — no pornographic content or nudity, even after you verify your age. This page, written by the Swipey AI team, sets out what changed, with dates from Character AI’s own announcements, and what an adult alternative looks like.
Character AI made these choices for a mixed-age audience. If you are an adult who wanted a companion rather than a storybook, these are the changes that matter:
Uncensored romance
Adult chat is uncensored on Swipey AI; only minors, real people without their consent, non-consent, incest and bestiality are off-limits.
Relationship levels and Memories
With Premium, your chat with her has its own relationship level — 15 of them, from Teasing to Ultimate — and each level-up drops a reward video. Premium Memories keep the moments that matter — first call, first gift, every level-up — and you can delete any of them.
Seeing her, not just reading her
Character-consistent images and on-demand videos of up to 60 seconds, adult scenes included — her face and body stay the same in every render.
Hearing her
Real-time voice calls with Premium, and her voice messages in the chat, with the same freedom as the chat.
Roleplay that holds
Ready-made scenarios plus fully custom roleplay, and Premium Memories keep the moments that matter.
Privacy that is the default
Custom characters have no public profile, and billing shows a neutral merchant name on your statement.

For adult companionship, Swipey AI is built for exactly what Character AI leaves out. The full row-by-row breakdown is on our Character AI comparison page.
Write down who she is
There is no automatic import between platforms, so note what made your character yours: her name, personality, backstory, the way she talks and the scenario you liked best.
Rebuild her with Create AI
Set her look, personality and backstory in the Create AI builder — or start with one of the platform characters if you would rather meet someone new.
Open Create AIPick up the story
Start with a custom scenario or a ready-made one; your chats stay in your account, so you pick up where you left off.
Unlock voice and video when you want them
Chat starts free. Premium adds real-time voice calls, on-demand video and free daily hearts.
See pricingBeyond the chat: Duels, where two AI girls face off over five rounds and your gifts decide who performs next; drama series on some characters, short episodes you watch from her profile or her chat; and relationship levels that unlock reward videos as she levels up. With Premium come Memories of the moments that matter, daily hearts, quests and a prize wheel. Swipey AI is for adults only — if you are under 18, it is not for you.
Find quick answers to everything you need to know.
Swipey AI, if what you miss is uncensored romance for adults: images, video and voice calls with the same freedom, plus Duels, Premium relationship levels and Memories, and daily rewards. Our comparison hub sets it against the other platforms people ask about.
No. Character AI’s community guidelines prohibit pornographic content and nudity for every user. Passing its age assurance restores open-ended chat, not adult content.
Since late 2025 Character AI checks every account with an in-house age model. If it is unsure you are an adult, it asks for a selfie, and an ID only if needed, through its verification partner Persona; accounts treated as under 18 get reading mode instead of chat.
Not automatically — there is no import between the platforms. Note your character’s personality, backstory and style, then rebuild her in Create AI; your chats are saved to your account from the first message, and Premium Memories keep the moments that matter.
Chat starts free, and you can create a character and browse the feed without paying. Premium unlocks the full experience, including voice calls and video; current prices are on the pricing page.
Yes. Swipey AI is an 18+ platform with age verification, operated by INVAI LTD, a company registered in Cyprus (EU).
