How does Swipey AI check my age?

Swipey AI is for adults only. Everyone confirms they are 18 or older before entering. Users in the United Kingdom also pass an age check with our verification partner, Ondato, before they can see adult content.

Everyone. On your first visit you are asked to confirm that you are 18 or older; if you are not, you are taken off the site. You confirm your age again at checkout.

United Kingdom. UK law (the Online Safety Act 2023) requires a highly effective age check, so a tick-box confirmation is not enough for UK users. The same applies to users treated as being in the UK when their location is uncertain.

• Ondato's verification page asks for a short selfie (liveness) check and estimates your age from it.
• If the estimate does not clearly show that you are an adult, you are asked for a valid identity document.
• Until the check is passed, adult content stays locked.
• If the check fails or you cannot complete it, you can try again. If you think the result is wrong, contact support.

Creators. Verified creators go through a separate identity check with Ondato as part of onboarding.

Your data. Ondato performs the check. Swipey AI is designed to receive only the result it needs to unlock access, not your identity document or selfie. The details are in our UK Age Assurance Statement and Privacy Policy.
